Procedure of the Argentine National Contact Point
The work of the National Contact Points must be guided by the Procedural Guidance contained in Part II of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. In that sense, the National Contact Points will operate in accordance with core criteria of visibility, accessibility, transparency and accountability to further the objective of functional equivalence.
As it was clearly stated in the updating process OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and according to the commentaries of the Procedural Guidance, while the enterprises are the ones that must comply with the Guidelines in its daily operations, governments may contribute to enhance the effectiveness of the implementation procedure. In that sense, the ANCP adopted its Rules of Procedure, which must be applied in every complaint linked to the implementation of the OECD Guidelines.
Article 6 of the Argentine National Contact Point Procedure details the requirements that a presentation of an individual or legal entity that considers that a Multinational Enterprise may have incurred in non-observance of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises through action or omission must contain.
The objective of this document, that not replaces the written formalization as stipulated in Article 6 of the Argentine National Contact Point Procedure is to facilitate the initial contact with the ANCP without leaving out any relevant information.
